Good morning on this beautiful Sunday. I work today but I thought I need to catch up on my blogging. I have been slacking a little bit lately. Although I do have a good excuse... I have been EXTREMELY busy with work and school!!

First things first... Florida was amazing!! I had so much fun, I went so many places and met so many new people. Aj was AMAZING and drove me all over the place! The day I arrived in Jacksonville we drove up to Tybee Island, Georgia with Aj’s roommates Whitney and Jackie and Jackie's boyfriend Lee. We went out that night in Savannah and Whitney and I went shopping in downtown Savannah the next day which was so much fun. Savannah is such a beautiful historic town. On Friday, Aj and I drove down to Tampa to see my long lost sister Nikita. I haven’t seen her in a couple of years. We were both so happy to see each other it brought tears to our eyes. We went out for sushi and spent the next day at the beach. AJ and I stayed in Clearwater Beach which was absolutely beautiful and the view from our hotel room was amazing! On our way back up to Jacksonville Beach Aj took me to his favorite restaurant High Tides at Snack Jack in Flagler Beach. The rest of my time there I spent at the beach in Jacksonville. I already can’t wait to go back again!! For now it's back to reality...

When I got home another letter from amanda was waiting for me! That definitely cheered me up!! She sent me a really cute ring and a four leaf clover for good luck and of course another one of her wonderful playlists...

FLORIDA BOUND

The day has finally come! I am florida bound as of right now. I am currently waiting for my second flight from Charlotte to Jacksonville. This has been quite the experience so far considering I got 3 hours of sleep and my flight left Phoenix at 5:30am. Going through security was so smooth till I tripped over my skateboard and scraped up my leg, then the lady informed me she had to throw away my $15 face lotion because it was 4oz not 3oz. Then my gate was switched so I had to walk all the way to the other side of the airport just to find out I had to check one of my bags. Lets just say my day has been excellent so far...

BELIEVE

What a beautiful Wednesday... the weather is perfect right now and it even started raining for a little bit(actually for about 5 minutes). I woke up with a terrible cold this morning. I think my lack of sleep and my busy schedule is finally getting to me. I am drinking some delicious herbal tea hoping it helps and this cold doesn't last long. Only one more week until I go to Florida! I can't wait to wake up every morning for 6 days straight and not have to go to school or work!

I am sending out my first letter to Amanda today with some surprises inside of course. I feel like once you start writing you can't stop! I told my mom that it was the longest letter I have ever written. She laughed and said "It might be the only letter you have ever written!" which is funny because I don't think I've written many.

A little change is nice every once in awhile, so I re-arranged my room the other night. I am trying to get organized and get rid of some things I don't need or use anymore. I still am not used to it though and keep thinking things are where they used to be.

I recently just started reading a book called Hippie by Barry Miles. It is amazing so far and I love all the pictures. I would definitely recommend reading it.

PEN_PAL

Good morning!

My friend Amanda had this amazing idea that we should be pen-pals. I have never had a pen-pal before so this is so exciting!! Amanda lives in Bothell, Washington. The last time I saw her was when I went to Seattle last year for New Years(which is also her birthday). I had an amazing time with her and I love and miss her. I wish I was able to see her more often!

Yesterday, I came home from work to find my first letter waiting for me. It arrived in the cutest hot pink envelope. Along with her letter she sent me a green and blue tie dyed bracelet/hair tie (I love it, green is my favorite color!) and a cd with an amazing mix of songs that she has been listening to non-stop and wanted to share with me.

ANXIOUS

walking the dog...

Is it really Friday?! Where did the week go? It was so beautiful out this morning I decided to take my dog for a walk. He was so excited, it was more like he took me for a walk. The clouds just looked amazing and there was a nice little breeze.

Last night was the first night of my women and films class. So far I think I am going to really enjoy this class. It is only once a week and it is held in this cute little room that is like a mini movie theatre. We watched The Hurt Locker directed by Kathryn Bigelow for our first film. It turns out she is the director of Point Break also, which is one of my favorite movies and it is where my mom got my middle name from. If you haven't seen either of those, you definitely should!

I saw this quote the other night when I was browsing around at Home Goods with my mom... "I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow." I loved it. I found a cute little happy Buddha that holds tea light candles and a little black owl that I ended up buying. I also got the cutest little wooden flower knobs for my desk drawers from Anthropologie.

Only 12 more days until I go to Florida! I get more and more anxious as the days go on.

ADVENTURE

Oh hi there Monday, you snuck right up on me. These past two days have been amazing, very busy and definitely won't be forgotten.

Saturday, I worked all day at both jobs then I went straight to Lydia's A Goodbye and Farewell show. It finally hit me, that was their last show to ever be played. Lydia has been my favorite band since I started going to shows when I was 13 and they will always be my favorite. This was the most amazing show I have been to, quite the experience.

Sunday, I woke up bright and early at 5am to drive up to Show Low with my mom for my Uncles Birthday/family reunion. We had brunch at my Aunts cabin. The weather was absolutely beautiful and so was the scenery. I love going on adventures and being surrounded by scenery that is so different from where I live. There were so many things to see and take pictures of. My favorite part was definitely all the wild flowers growing along the road and the open fields. Spending time with my family was nice too. After we haven't seen each other forever, it's nice to catch up!

Today is my day off. I went through all my clothes so I can take some to the resale shop. I have so many clothes that I don't wear very often so I can always use a little extra money. Later today, I think I am going to do a little browsing at Anthropologie and Free People.

Yesterday was yet another busy day. I worked 10:30-4:30 and rushed home to get ready to go see Austin Gibbs, This Century, and The Maine with my friend Alicia at The Nile. We got there only to find out that it was SOLD OUT! We ended up chatting with some of the security guards and it turned out one of them knows my bestie Julia and he said he will see what he can do to get us in. So it turned out we got in for free! The show was amazing and I ran into quite a few old friends including Aaron who was one of the security guards which was a very nice surprise!

EXCITING

Oh Wednesday... the busyness begins! Today I worked 8:30 to 2:30 and 5 to 9:30, the oh so crazy day I am used to. I am finally getting to read and do my homework. I have school bright and early tomorrow morning and then I have an important meeting after school. Big things may be happening, this is very exciting! When is my next day off? Only if September 15th could come a little faster! Counting down the days...

LIFE

Hello Monday, school starts tomorrow and I am actually excited to be going back. I am finally working again after 5 weeks of job searching. Working 2 jobs and going to school full time this semester is going to be hectic but it will all be worth it. It has been a long summer of ups and downs but it was amazing. I made some new friends and became reacquainted with some old ones.

I am taking a trip to Jacksonville, Florida in 3 weeks and 2 days to visit my friend Aj. A trip long overdue. I can't wait! It is going to be an adventure that I'm sure won't be forgotten. I've never been to Florida and a change of scenery will be nice! There will be plenty of pictures to come!

Live your life to the fullest everyday because you never know when your life's path may change. I have began to realize lately how thankful I am for the life I live and for the things I have.
